Derby City Chapter Information

The Derby City Chapter of FEW, located in Louisville, Kentucky, was chartered on June 14, 1975 -- the first chapter in Kentucky. In March 2002, the Ft. Knox Chapter merged with the Derby City Chapter. The chapter is a member of the Southeast Region of FEW which covers the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and part of West Virginia. The Derby City Chapter is a multi-agency chapter. Members come from federal agencies throughout the Greater Louisville, Ft. Knox and Southern Indiana area.

The Derby City Chapter participates in the Salvation Army/WAVE 3 Angel Tree at Christmas. We collect toiletries throughout the year which are donated to the Ronald McDonald House. We collect pennies for Hosparus (Southern Indiana) and soft drink tabs for Ronald McDonald House. We sponsor a poster contest for high school art students at New Albany, Indiana High School during "Women's History Month."

We award an educational scholarship and a scholarship to attend the National Training Program annually.

Membership is open to all federal employees, both male and female, as well as anyone supporting FEW's goals. Annual dues are $45.00.
